Welcome to the Tyne Valley Oyster Festival (2012 Dates Wed August 1st - Sunday August 5th) This year will mark our 47th year and we are continuously growing. Oysters are synonymous with celebration. Over the five days the festival takes place you can enjoy the fun-filled days of the festival plus everything else PEI offers. We offer a combination of fun and cultural experiences. Get ready to party hearty at this year's celebration of the oyster! The winner of the Canadian Oyster Shucking Championship will represent Canada at the World Oyster Shucking Championship in Galway, Ireland.
